My Background & Brain Perspective
I’m an ADHD Coach, Researcher, and Educator with a background that zig-zags through academia, research, education, counselling, management, and linguistics in Australia and internationally. Translation: I’ve worn a lot of hats, and I’ve learned how to juggle them all (sometimes literally).
Right now, I’m in the final stages of a PhD at Macquarie University, researching how ADHD affects auditory processing and emotional states — work that aims to improve diagnosis and bring science closer to lived reality. I was awarded the Macquarie University Research Excellence Scholarship to undertake this research, which sits within the Australian Research Council Laureate Fellowship in Auditory Neuroscience. This neuroscience-based lens informs my coaching, giving me a unique perspective on how brains like ours process the world. (And because I like to keep life interesting, I already have one PhD from Poland… I know, it’s so ADHD to collect them like trading cards 🤦♀️).
My research profile features on the Macquarie University Hearing Research Centre website, as well as the Sleep ADHD Clinics team page, reflecting my collaborative work within clinical and neuroscience-based environments.
How I Work with You
In my coaching practice, I bring an awareness of how ADHD shows up differently in women and men, and I also keep in mind the overlaps between ADHD/ADD and autism (AuDHD). Masking, perfectionism, overwhelm, sensory sensitivities — I get how these layers can interact, and I tailor support to fit each person’s actual life, not a textbook definition.
I work closely with psychiatrists and psychologists to ensure you receive support that is not only practical but also aligned with clinical insights. Think of it as teamwork: they fine-tune the medical side, and I help turn that knowledge into strategies that actually work in everyday life.
You don’t need to have an ADHD or autism diagnosis to benefit from coaching — many of my clients simply want better strategies for focus, overwhelm, cognitive load, or balancing demanding work with everyday life. This also includes day-to-day challenges such as managing household routines, staying on top of meals or nutrition, or keeping order in personal or work spaces when life gets busy.
This Isn’t Therapy—It’s Coaching
Clients (aka my fellow ADHD adventurers — “client” sounds way too corporate) often tell me that my openness about my own struggles makes them feel lighter. That includes admitting that I don’t always have perfect systems myself — sometimes I forget to respond straight away, procrastinate a reply, or dive too deep into a hyperfocus. But when I do respond, it’s with full attention, warmth, and care. That’s the core of my approach: you don’t need to be fixed. You need strategies, self-understanding, and a safe, non-judgmental space to figure out how to work with your brain, not against it.
Personality-wise?
I’m talkative (hm… hyperactive?), a bit cheeky (yep, probably hyperactive again), and easy to connect with. I make jokes (trying to stop, but let’s be honest — there’s no tool for that), laugh with my clients (better than crying, right?), and bring plenty of positivity and energy into sessions. But I also listen — really listen — with compassion, respect, and confidentiality, so people feel understood and safe.
I hold trauma-informed coaching qualifications, which means I can meet clients exactly where they are, with sensitivity and care for the experiences they carry.
At the end of the day, my mission is simple: help ADHDers (and AuADHDers) embrace their strengths, navigate their challenges, and build lives that feel more authentic, lighter, and less exhausting.

Quick version (for brains who prefer speed )
I’m Paula — ADHD Coach, Researcher, and Educator. My background zig-zags through academia, research, counselling, and management, which basically means I’ve worn a lot of hats.
I’m finishing my PhD at Macquarie University, where I research how ADHD affects the brain and emotions. But coaching is where the research meets real life. I work with both ADHDers and AuADHDers, helping them understand their brains, embrace their strengths, and build strategies that actually work.
I’m talkative (ok… hyperactive), a bit cheeky, and love to laugh with the people I work with. I keep it real, safe, and non-judgmental — because you don’t need to be “fixed.” You just need tools that fit your unique brain.
